Manchester City chiefs remain determined to reunite Pep Guardiola and Lionel Messi next season.
The Mirror says City can attract Bayern Munich coach Guardiola to the Etihad with a record pot of gold next summer.
Most of the £265million generated on Tuesday by owner Sheikh Mansour selling 13 per cent of the Blues' parent company, City Football Group, to Chinese bidders will go towards players.
City feel they can offer the Spaniard the terms he would want and also guarantee him that they can compete for the world's very best - such as Barcelona superstar Messi - in the transfer market.
The Chinese money will be added to City's transfer budget which is based on the club's record revenues and their cut of the Premier League's new £5.14billion TV deal.
