Charlie Austin says he is not currently thinking about earning a place in Roy Hodgson's England squad for the European Championships.
The QPR striker was one of the most notable non-movers of the transfer window after a Premier League switch failed to come to fruition despite months of intense speculation.
Austin is fully aware that his decision is likely to rule him out of contention for England selection for next summer's Euros.
The 26-year-old was called up by Hodgson in June but was left out of the squad for the recent qualifying double-header against San Marino and Switzerland.
When asked if Hodgson had spoken to Austin this season, the striker said: "No, he hasn't. But I try and put that to the back of my mind. If the England thing happens, then great, but I'm just concentrating on QPR getting promoted
"If I'm scoring goals in the Championship, then you have to think that the class players in the Premier League will be scoring too.
"Wayne Rooney is an automatic selection when fit and Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck, when they are back from injury, will - nine times out of 10 - be in the squad too. So, really there's only one place. And that will go to Harry Kane.
