Anthony Martial scored on his Manchester United debut as the Red Devils defeated fierce rivals Liverpool 3-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday. The Frenchman, signed for a reported £58 million on transfer deadline day, netted a stunning solo goal in the closing five minutes, to add to a Daley Blind strike and an Ander Herrera penalty.
Liverpool had attempted to stage a late comeback, with Christian Benteke scoring a quite brilliant overhead kick, but the strike was ultimately in vain.
