ISCO IN FOR INJURED JAMES;
Isco was in the team as Real Madrid kicked off their season at Sporting Gijon in August but the disappointing draw at El Molinon led to calls for coach Rafa Benitez to reinstate James Rodriguez to the starting line-up and the Colombian was wonderful as los Blancos bashed Betis 5-0 in their next match.
The former Monaco star scored two stunning strikes that day and looked set to hold down his place for a long time to come but a torn thigh muscle picked up on international duty means that he will be sidelined for around a month and now Isco has another chance to prove his worth.
The former Malaga midfielder did not start either of Spain's Euro 2016 qualifiers this week and knows that he will slip down the pecking order unless he features regularly at Madrid, while Premier League clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester City continue to watch with interest.
So Saturday's game at Espanyol is a chance for the 23-year-old to showcase his skills and also to provide some goals for the likes of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, who has yet to score in La Liga this term.
